Secretary Report~ August meeting minutes were read and a motion to accept the minutes was made by Desi and seconded by Jari and passed by oral vote.

 
Treasurers Report~ Todd:
  • General account: $
  • Gambling account: $
  • We made $510.00 selling ABATE U raffle tickets
  •  Motion to accept treasurer’s report made by Mike, seconded by Charlene and passed by oral vote.
 
President’s Report~ no report to give, but wants to thank everyone who volunteered at the Rally.

 
Vice President’s report~ Vonnie just wanted to say thank you for the volunteers who did the security shift


State Reps Report~ Deano:
  • New law passed about the license plates being vertical and not hanging from chains or horizontal.
  • District meeting September 20th in Slayton.
Government Relations Liaison~ not here
 
Public Relations/Historian~ No report
 
Gambling Report~ Hives
  • We sold ¾ of the chapter raffle tickets.

Events Committee~ Mark
  • Mark wants to retire. Still no one to replace him as of yet. We need someone to step up to the plate and relieve Mark of this.
PGR Update~ Vince - More support is needed.
 
Website~ Warren
  • Send info for the site
Old Business:
  • Passed the hat -cost deference for the rental of the tent for State Rally
  • Need more ideas for the distribution of Buddy Bears.
 
New Business:
  • Sedan Days-need to show some support for Tony and staff for all they have done for the chapter
 
Open Discussion:
  • Writing the Grapevine- Spoon volunteered
  • Old St. Nicholas Day is scheduled for the first Saturday of December
  • Volunteers for decorating refreshments and such.
  • The elves this year will be Mary, Marcy and Ozzy
  • Get out and get donations (apples, oranges, peanuts and candy canes)
  • Homemade cookies from seniors?
  • Possible air time, advertising, road noise
  • Pete made a motion to spend 500 dollars for Old St. Nick day, seconded by Warren
  • Discussion-
    • Figured that if everyone went out and got donations there wouldn’t be much of a cost
    • Motion was amended to 250 by Rod and seconded by Mel
    • Accepted by Pete and passed by oral vote.
  • Next meeting we will need to get a committee together.
  • We will be expecting up to 100 children and will need to have enough goodies for 500 bags.
  • Halloween party?
  • A BIG thanks to Jeppe FFR for the trash pick up!
  • Thanks to Val (MOM) for the very inspirational speech!  I don’t know about the rest of you but I look forward to this every year!
