• May meeting minutes were read and a motion to accept the minutes was made by Val and seconded by Warren and passed by oral vote.

• No other nominations were made. Nominations –closed and proceeded to the vote for the Secretaries position

State Reps Report~ Deano:

• State Rally tickets $35.00 till the next BOD.
• District meeting at 2pm June 28, 2008
• At the Bonfire Bar in Litchfield.

Government Relations Liaison~ Pete

Public Relations/Historian~ need to find someone for this duty

Gambling Report~ Hives

• Has out 60 books of tickets and only two books have been brought back.  Need to get out there and sell more tickets.
• Anyone interested in riding in the Kensington parade (June 15) need to call Rodney
• Bring tickets and tri-folds.

• Need to update officer photos and wants members to send pictures of new or past events.

Old Business:

• May 10th Washout Bergen rest area was pretty much a “WASHOUT” it rained all day.  Spoon recruited friends and their children to pass out literature and bumper stickers.  Spoon would like to try again but next time have more members there and have a potluck picnic-cookout.
• Need more ideas for the distribution of Buddy Bears.

New Business:

• Pope County Hospice on June 23, 2008
• Tent for the State Rally- Check on our cost from last year’s rental.
• A motion to order the tent was made by Warren and seconded by Robert and passed by oral vote.
• Will be passing the hat each meeting till the Rally to defer the cost of the tent.

Open Discussion:

•  We received a Thank-you card from Glenna for the support we gave her.
• Remember to thank Sandy for the delicious munchies she served for our meeting.
• Sedan Days August 16th?

Votes were tallied and Becky McBeth is our new secretary.
