  • Motion to accept made by Becky, seconded by Kinger, and passed by oral vote.

State Reps Report~ Deano:
~Dristrict meeting highlights:
  • Membership and retention needs help with Algona.
  • Dial A Ride will hand out boxes at ABATE U.
  • MSAC needs members
  • There is now a national TV campaign aimed at forcing helmet usage.
 
Vice Presidents Report~ Vonnie:
  • There will be posters for state rally at ABATE U
  • Need more security for state rally
 
Government Relations Liaison~ Pete Wlazlak:
  • In the MRF newsletter there is an article about Mary Peters and her move to get our 2010 funds put towards helmet useage rather than motorcycle safety.
 
Public Relations/Historian~Stephanie:
  • Not here
 
Gambling Rept.~ Kinger:
  • Has posters for chapter raffle
  • Has tickets for ABATE U raffle and for our raffle.
 
Events~ Mark:
  • Need more members for events committee

Old Business:
  • Pass the hat for ABATE U hospitality room... we will only be providing alcohol on Saturday night.
  • Minnesota Washout will be May 10th at the Bergen reststop. Westbound between Alexandria and Osakis
New Business:
  • We want to set up a Buddy Bear Run.
  • Kurt V. made a mothin to donate $500 to Pope County Hospice, seconded by Ted, and passed by oral vote
  • Ozzy made a motion to move the July meeting to July 12th, seconded by Peg, and passed by oral vote.
  • Chuckles made a motion to donate $250 to Glenna to go towards her sons burial or memorial, seconded by Denise, and passed by oral vote.
  • We have decided against a state rally sponsorship.
