Meeting called to order at 6:16pm.

Mini bike drawing held first.

State Reps Report~ Chuckles

~The president of the MRF is stepping down and Hardtail will be taking over.

~Please push the failure to yield bill with letters, emails, or calls, this will qualify you to get a "Write to Ride" patch.

*Brad made a comment on the fact that it was good to see Meeker County reps here on Saturday and this was a good chance to speak to them.

*Deano also commented on the fact that this is an election year and a good time to speak up.

Vice Presidents Report~ Rodney:

Nothing except, "Rain or shine, party on."

Government Relations Liaison~ Steve:

Nothing

Public Relations/Historian~ Vonnie:

~Went with Todd to see Moon he is in room 662 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

~Motion made by Kurt to donate $250 to Moon, seconded by Spoon. Motion tabled until next meeting to research setting up a fund for Moon.

Events Committee~

Nothing

~Buddy bears will be available at next meeting. Do we want to set up a run to deliver them?

Website~ Warren:

~Newly designed website is drawing more activity.

~Please keep any explicit photos off the public website.

~We are looking into a forum for members only.

New Business:

~Motion made by Boyd for chapter to pay for poolside room at ABATE U to be given away for meeting attendance, seconded by Bugs, and passed by oral vote.

Open Discussion:

~Motion made by Boyd to order more shirts, seconded by Kurt, and passed by oral vote.

~Motion made by Boyd to order up to 200 more pins, seconded by Brad, and passed by oral vote.

~Warren is checking into getting a 3 by 5 flag with chapter logo made up for chapter members to purchase.

~Deano notes that our chapter continues to grow.

~Next meeting will be October 7th at 5pm. *PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE*

Val gave her annual "Mom Speech." Points she touched on were:

The feeling of being a family and as all families we do have the positives of love, support, acceptance,and camaraderie along with the negatives of gossip, betrayal, and the scars we inflict upon one another.
What makes a biker is not what they look like or even how they "act" but how they feel and the lengths they will go to in order to protect their rights and freedoms.
We all need to think about why we joined ABATE and more importantly Glacial Ridge and in that reflection we need to figure out what we can do to give back to our chapter and our organization.
