Glacial Ridge Chapter Minutes
Saturday December 3rd, 2005
6pm at Rooneys in Sedan

Meeting Called to Order at 6:18pm
 
We began by going around and introducing ourselves as we had a large group.
 
Secretaries minutes read by Dez. 
  • Motion to accept made by Tanya, seconded by Steve, and passed by oral vote.
 
Treasurers Report~ Todd:
  • *Todd informed us that our donation to the Morris memorial can't be given out of our gambling account.
  • *Our check for Parkers Prairie first responders was never cashed.  Tanya will check on this as she has some contact info and will update us next month.
  • Motion to accept treasurer’s report made by Tanya, seconded by Trini, and passed by oral vote. 
 
Government Relations~ Steve:
  • ~MRF has received the Champions Award in recognition for efforts in motorcycle safety.
  • ~There will be a congressional hearing on November 10th in regards to the manufacturer repairs vs. aftermarket non manufacturer repairs and service.
 
State Reps Report~ Chuckles:
  • ~We have ABATE U bike raffle tickets for sale now.  $100 each
  • ~North East District Director, Matt Collins, is in the hospital.
  • ~January 2006 BOD meeting will be at the Best Western in Morris on January 21st.
  • ~March 8th is Biker day at the capitol.
  • ~Trip to Washington DC is still to be determined, February date is likely.
  • ~Blizzard Bash is set for February 25th.
 
Vice Presidents Report~ Rodney:
  • ~Morris Memorial is completed and there will be a dedication on Monday in front of the Armory.
 
Presidents Report~ Boyd:
  • ~Officer nominations to begin next month.
 
Old business:
  • ~First responder donations~ we have very few 5013C #'s.  We want to give $300 to $500 each one we choose.  Motion made by Mark to select first responders in January, seconded by Trini, and passed by oral vote.
  • ~Sturges has no information yet on mini bikes for our annual mini bike raffle.
  • ~Jim made a motion that since we can't donate to the Morris memorial from gambling account then we should take the $200 out of our general account, seconded by Steve, and passed by oral vote.
 
New Business:
  • ~We are up for renewal with the MRF ($100).  Jim made a motion to renew with the MRF at $100, seconded by Bugs, and passed by oral vote.
 
Open Discussion:
  • ~Charlie informed us that our domain name renewal is up at a cost of $15.98 which he already paid along with our hosting renewal at a cost of $197.03 which has not been paid.  Deano made a motion to reimburse Charlie the $15.98 he has already paid, seconded by Tanya, and passed by oral vote.
  • ~Bugs has questioned if Revy has paid us for working at Rumble to Revys.  The answer is NO.  Boyd continues to call Revy but Revy continues to avoid him.
 
Jim made a motion to adjourn meeting, seconded by Sturges, and passed by oral vote.
 
 Meeting adjourned at 6:56pm.
