What are Buddy
Bears?
A car accident,
Your home's on fire,
They're telling you your mom or dad will not wake-up.
When you're too young to understand what's going on around you, but old
enough to know what you had is quickly changing or gone. A Buddy Bear
will help you through the night and be your best friend for life.
Buddy Bears are a small stuffed bears, ABATE Chapters can purchase and
then distribute to EMT's, Ambulance drivers, Fire departments.
In the event of an accident where a small child is involved a Buddy
Bear is given to him/her. The purpose is to help take the child's mind
off the event happening around them and give them something to hold on
to and focus on. It may not be much, yet words could not describe what
it means to that child.
